1.BBC Panorama
The show i have chosen is called 'Panorama' which first broadcasted on the 11th of November 1953. This show is broadcasted on BBC One every Monday and its time slot is 8.30pm , this show is a formal based factual TV show made in a documentary type and helps cover many aspects and topic from government and politics to a latest scandal. This is similar to my show because of the structure of the show as it holds a lot of archive footage and interviews. I believe that my show can beat the viewings on this show because BBC3 is more known to the youth and sometimes this show covers topics which are mainly targeted at the older age range such as politics and government issues , these types of topics do not appeal to the younger audience which means that my show which does appeal to both younger and older age group will be more successful.

2.The One Show
The one show is a very popular BBC1 show, it has been running for 6 years and has gained a lot of viewers thought its time on air. The show broadcasts ever Monday at 7:30pm, the show entertains people by bringing in famous, well known people onto the show and discuss matters with them. i have chose this programme to compare my programme with because they are similar, they hold a lot of interviews and discussions and graphic content. It is a good example of a factual television. The show covers a lot of topics and a variety of areas, which is why it makes it similar to my show. i think my T.V show would beat the viewing figures of The One Show because, my show is targeted at a more wider variety of age group this could be shown by viewing The One shows ideas and the structure which they portray also some of the one shows discussions cover topics which are aimed at a older audience.
3. Question Time
This show is called Question Time and has been running for 33 years, it is another popular show on BBC1 which airs every Sunday. The show brings in the more older audience rather then the younger because of its political side. It is similar to my show because of its discussion elements as the presenters discuss variety of political topics or general discussions. The structure of the show is not similar because it only has one scene and stays within the 3 way camera structure. I think my show will beat its rating because my show will be more entertaining and it will appeal to the mass audience, it will also gain variety of age groups especially my target audience. Question Time has only a limited audience.
4. Dispatches.
This show is called Dispatches and is broadcasted on channel 4, the show has been airing for 25 years. The show is shown on different occasions and has become quiet popular with the viewers. This show is very similar to my show because of its structure and the variety of topics it covers. The show has covered very revealing and interesting topics regarding different situations, which my show will also be doing. It has also been criticised for its privacy issues as it is very revealing and exposes private issues. My Show will beat the rating because sometimes the topics which are covered on the shown can be very boring and targeted at only a specific age group but my show will appeal to the mass audience.
5. Watchdog
The show i have chosen is called 'Watchdog' it has been airing for 32 years and is broadcasted on BBC1 on Tuesdays at 7:00pm and it is a 60 minutes programme. The show exposes people who are committing illegal acts and exposes them and warns others and is styled in a documentary form. The shows structure includes interviews and pre-recorded footage which would also be similar to mine.The show is similar to my show because i also will be exposing elements and recording interviews with people and at the same time showcasing archive footage. My show will beat its ratings because it is more appealing as it is to do with celebrities rather then normal people so a more wider audience will watch the show.
